My wife and I hired Harvest Construction to help with finishing our basement project. In addition to construction, Keith assisted us with elements of design, including removing part of a supporting wall and installing a beam in its place. Keith showed himself very knowledgeable about how to handle the difficulties to make the end result very usable and enjoyable. He did such a great job we later hired Harvest Construction to remove our siding, and install house wrap and foam installation on our house. Harvest Construction not only did a tremendous job but also looked around to find the closest color match possible for some extra pieces of siding that were needed. We will certainly look to Harvest Construction for any other building needs we run into in the future.
"I have been working solely with Harvest Construction for the past 4 years, beginning with a kitchen remodel. Like many of us, I didn't know who to turn to for estimates. Once I decided to jump in - creative ideas and price point set - word of mouth led me to Harvest. I was almost ready to give another company the"go-ahead" but something just didn't seem to set right with me. If I could tell that a measurement was "off", then how many more disappointments were there potentially going to be? Not only that - it was going to have to cost me more than my price point because it just couldn't be done for less. Or so I was told. Thank goodness I chose Harvest!
James came over to give me my estimate. Right away, I was impressed. He seemed genuine, very precise, and attentive to detail. Met my price point sans the appliances - the entire project was fairly seamless from start to finish! Not only that; I never planned on expensive granite countertops. But Harvest was able to recommend a company that made it possible. I found out that some of my 'creative ideas' weren't the best ideas. Harvest is so easy to work with in that way. I watched my kitchen come together beautifully and am thrilled with the change.
I was so satisfied that I proceeded with 4 more remodeling projects! Harvest remodeled my master bathroom not long ago, and I worked primarily with Keith. He never says that he can't do something! If it is 'do-able' then he finds a way. What a great attitude! From the demolition which included knocking out a wall of closets to the hardware on the wall, Keith worked closely with me to make sure I was satisfied with the overall look as well as the individual colors and details. It is absolutely gorgeous! I love the result. Many companies fall short when it comes to communication - not true here! Keith always kept me informed and up to date; no question that I had was too small or insignificant. He is affable as well as sincere. I found myself planning my next remodel before he was done with this one!
I think one of the things that I especially like about working with Keith and James is their attentiveness to detail. The job is done right. Period. They would rather tell you "no" to a project than compromise. If there is a glitch - chances are that Keith or James has already spotted it and working on the solution. Early on in our projects, it was a real confidence-builder!
As a busy physician working long hours, I couldn't be home for a lot of the work on some projects, making my choice of which company all the more difficult. When I left for work I knew that I couldn't be filled with worry or concern about what was happening at home. And I didn't need to! In fact, I looked forward at the end of a long day to driving home and surveying the progress. The construction site
was always left clean and neat. If I had to ask Keith to lock a door on his way out or put my small dog in his pen; it was done - with everything else about the house in perfect order. Always. Trust like that is uncommon (it shouldn't be) - but you will sense his impeccable work ethic within the first week.
I wouldn't hire anyone else. Bigger isn't always better. In fact, my experience has been that it was more costly and I had more problems. Your house is personal - and your biggest investment. Harvest Construction feels the same way. They give you the quality work you want and the personal attentiveness that you've been missing."
